It's hard to get an impression from just 4 pieces but it seems to me that you are still trying stuff out. My advice would be to keep the cover 'as is' for the time being and replace it once you finished your comic. Assuming it will have about 15 pages. If you're planning for an ongoing project updating the cover after 25 to 50 pages would seem like a better target.
My reasoning would be that no matter how good an artist is, characters in any long-running comic start to change over time ('Girl Genius' would be a good example for that, since the Foglios were already industry veterans when they started it). But if you're just starting out, significant changes in style can happen over the course of 9 pages. Drawing a cover further in will help you avoid a case of "My cover looks nothing like the actual comic."
I’m planning for it to be a slice-of-life comic with horror elements, so it would be more of an ongoing project to be honest.
As for the cover, I do plan to update it later once I’ve found my footing.
